For very special kind of requirement, Beichler & Grünenwald developed special PTFE¬ compounds. Experience and competence make the difference. As experienced specialists, we select the suitable additives for these requirements and use them to develop compound formulations that, with their material and quantitative components, are often only used for a single kind of requirement.
Special requirements:
– increasing the service life of a dynamic seal with a special sliding partner and a certain medium
– the achievement of a defined electrical property
– a special colour
– a special mechanical property
– the increase in thermal conductivity
– a special property in medical technology
– a special property in food processing

The flexible and powerful PTFE specialist.
Both, the common unmodified and modified PTFE base materials from well-known raw material manufacturers are used for the production of compounds. The range of possible additives includes a large number of inorganic substances such as metals, color pigments, minerals and mineral fibers as well as heat-resistant natural materials and plastics. It is not unusual for Beichler & Grünenwald to develop a compound that consists of three or four components.
As a medium-sized company, we are flexible enough to process even small quantities of special compounds if, for example the resulting parts should first be subjected for testing or sampling.
The extensive modular system consisting of almost unlimited combinations of plastics and additives allows to think both in special recipes and in proven standard solutions. With modern measuring and testing the quality of the compounds of inhouse-produced and standardized test specimens is investigated. The measured values of the mechanical and physical properties are checked for each new batch and compared with the target values. Depending on the result, the batch is released or discarded. Obviously that we are constantly working on the basic development and design of special compounds that can be processed using the press-sintering process or RAM extrusion.
